The Tour

This unique cycling tour from Hoi An to DaNang and Hue is a fantastic way to see the most beautiful coastal mountain road of Vietnam and experience the countryside up close and personal. Also opportunity to discover Hai Van Mountain Pass and the famous world heritage sites of Hoi An and My Son. The itinerary can be done in reverse as well, for those starting in Hoi An and wanting to end in Hue.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Cycle Hue to Da Nang
8:00 pick you up at the hotel in Hue and transfer out of the city to the countryside by bus. Begin riding on backcountry roads, passing through rural villages, rice paddy fields, rivers and forests. Breaking for lunch at local restaurant, with some time to enjoy Lang Co beach. When ready, we saddle up and over Hai Van pass praised by BBC’s Top Gear as the most beautiful coastal mountain road in the world. Keep riding southwards along the coast to the hotel in Da Nang. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 2: Cycle Da Nang to Hoi An
Morning (8:00) visit the Da Nang history museum in the city, cycling out of Da Nang city to Marble Mountain, discover many natural caves inside the mountain in which Buddhist sanctuaries have been built over the centuries. The Marble Mountains surrounding the area are five stone hillocks – islands made of marble – and each is said to represent one of the five elements of the universe. Continue ride to Hoi An ancient town. Have lunch at a local family in Hoi An. In the afternoon, we bike to Hoi An countryside, visit Cam Thanh fishing village and take a boat ride to see the wetlands and palm forest. Overnight we stay in Hoi An.

Day 3: Cycle Hoi An to My Son
8:00 riding on the back streets pass the colourful market of Hoi An to the Thu Bon river, load all bicycles on a ferry boat and transfer to Cam Kim. Admiring iconic landscape of Hoi An and see the lush riverbanks with green islands along the way… In Cam Nam we visit the carpentry village to discover how wooden river boats are made, then cycle along the quiet paths to My Son.  Your guide will take you into the sanctuaries, giving you the opportunity to walk and discover the old temples with their unique architecture, and learn more about the history and culture of Champa during 2nd to 15th centuries.  Afternoon transfer by bus back to Hoi An and free time for beach relax or exploring even more Hoi An ancient town. Overnight in Hoi An.
